Ferrari now accepts cryptocurrency payments for its new cars in the United States. The Italian carmaker is working with the crypto payment processor BitPay to accept bitcoin, ether, and stablecoin USDC. Ferrari plans to expand the cryptocurrency payment option to Europe at the request of wealthy customers.
Noting that the company may use different crypto payment processors in other regions, Ferrari’s Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Enrico Galliera clarified, “Prices will not change, no fees, no surcharges if you pay through cryptocurrencies.”
This is a significant development for the cryptocurrency industry, as it shows that even luxury brands are now beginning to accept cryptocurrency payments. It is also a sign that cryptocurrency is becoming more mainstream and widely accepted.
